Ask Dr. Steve DVM Librarian

Beta Testing Is Over - Thank you for taking the time to help us improve. 2.0 is coming soon!

About the Librarian:

This tool’s trained on 35yrs of Dr. Steve’s real cases on how to treat chronic issues— plus his book, podcasts, medical journals, veterinary articles, lectures, and his protocols. So when you ask a question, it’s pulling from his knowledge and experience.

How to use:

Talk to it like you’re talking to a real person not Google.

  • Write in full sentences: Skip the abbreviations and bullet points.
  • Keep it simple: Describe the main issue and ask, "What should I do?"
  • Be conversational: Mention other pets or ask follow-up questions naturally.
  • No need for exact doses or long med lists — just give the overall picture and keep it simple.

Example:

“My dog has been coughing at night for a couple months. The vet thinks it might be a collapsing trachea. We’ve tried some herbs and prednisone, but it’s not improving. What do you recommend?”

If you don't get an answer try rephrasing your questions.

If you want to save a conversation to reference later, use the arrow in the top right (under the disclaimer) to forward the thread to yourself before you close the browser.

For follow-up questions, you may need to restate key info (your pet’s symptoms, diagnosis, and what you’ve tried).
